Achieving Starts with Believing

PS 214 in the Bronx, NY is a Tier I school, which houses 1,074 students. Out of that number, 13% live in shelters and 855 students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of the children, as well as their families, do not enjoy the holiday season because they do not have the funds or resources to do so.

In an effort to make it an enjoyable holiday season for these less fortunate students, PS214 is hosting a first ever Winter Wonderland.  Author, Christine DerOhannesian will be donating Santa's Magical Chimney Gift Sets to 200-250 families and all of the Shelters. She is also searching for donations of about the same 250 gift items or a gift cards and a few Christmas trees as well. She and the staff of PS214 are coming together and are committed to have these students and their families experience a magical memory.

US Marines Families of Service

Santa's Magical Chimney Author, Christine DerOhannesian is proud to support our men and women of service. She will be conducting a special reading to the children of our US Military Families during an annual Holiday Dinner Party at Stewart Airport.

Christine is donating Gift Sets to 150 families and is thrilled for the opportunity to help create happy homes worldwide. With our Military Families adapting to so much already,  Christine hopes to help preserve the sense of youthful exuberance over Christmas. 

US Army Families of Service

Santa's Magical Chimney Author, Christine DerOhannesian is proud to support our men and women of service. She will be conducting a special reading to the children of our US Military Families during an annual Holiday Dinner Party at West Point.

Christine is donating Gift Sets to 60 families and is thrilled for the opportunity to help create happy homes worldwide. Her hope is to connect Holiday Traditions with untraditional environments. Christine believes that no child should be left out of having a place to hang up their stockings and wait in anticipation of Santa's crawl down their chimney.  She says "there might be a key and there might be dust, but owning a real chimney is simply a must!" 

Join us at the Museum for "Christmas In The Village"! This is a FREE event! We’re asking everyone to bring a non-perishable food donation for Country Kids Food Pantry. Also a $5 per family suggested donation at the door (all proceeds go towards Museum Village Education Program.) Come see Santa by the fire place, walk around our grounds, and enjoy holiday entertainment in The Playhouse. We’ll have crafts for the kids and food for purchase in our Snack Bar. Meet the Author of Santa's Magical Chimney, Christine DerOhannesian. A very special treat for an up close and personal with the Hudson Valley's very own native as she introduces her creative new Holiday Tradition.

Come join us at HONOR for our annual Christmas Tree lighting and Toy drive! HONOR has been serving Orange County's neediest residents since 1974.
Join our special book reading by Hudson Valley's Author Christine DerOhannesian, of "Santa's Magic Chimney".  She will be donating Gift Sets to each of our shelters, and to each family with children within our care.  Christine is excited to partner with HONOR and is happy to support our resources to the homeless, runaway youth, substance addictions and many more categories we service.

Meet 20 Orange County Authors at this Writer's Expo, including special guest, Christine DerOhannesian, Author and creator of Santa's Magical Chimney. There will be readings, workshops and book signings throughout the day. Free refreshments will be served.
